It’s Halloween Weekend, folks! Time to shake off those cobwebs and dive into the eerie realm of ghoulish gastronomy! We’ve concocted a hair-raising collection of spine-chilling restaurants and devilishly delicious food hacks for your wicked delight. So grab your broomsticks and let’s embark on a hauntingly tasty adventure!

Halloween at Theatre Royal Drury Lane

One of the most haunted theatres in the world, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, is offering a special Halloween Afternoon Tea and late-night Theatre Tours. The tours will take you on a spooky journey through the history of this iconic London landmark, filled with hidden tales, scandal, conspiracy, and ghost stories. You might even see The Man in Grey, a famous ghost. The Theatre Tour starts at 9.15pm and includes a Halloween cocktail. It lasts for one hour and you can book until 31st October for £30.

For a spooky treat, try The Lane’s new Halloween Afternoon Tea. It includes delicious savoury bites and sweet treats by the chef and baker, Lily Vanilli. You’ll enjoy a variety of items like vanilla and passionfruit sponge with gingerbread tombstone, spooky sticky toffee pudding with caramel, strawberry ice cream sandwich, and warm fruit scones. The savoury options include an English crumpet with cream cheese and smoked salmon, a savoury madeleine with feta and pickled carrot, and a Coronation chicken pie with onion chutney. All of this is served in the beautiful Grand Saloon at The Lane.

Priced at £59 per person. Halloween Afternoon Tea is available until 31st October.

El Ta’Koy ‘Trick or Treat’

For Halloween, El Ta’Koy – the Hawaiian inspired restaurant at 3 Henrietta Street in Covent Garden – is offering a special promotion called ‘Trick or Treat’ shot. Throughout October, customers can request a ‘Trick or Treat’ shot and be surprised whether they’ll get a tangy and adventurous “Trick” shot or a sweet and heavenly “Treat” shot. These shots are carefully made to capture the essence of Halloween – mystery, suspense, and a touch of magic.

El Norte’s spookisticated dessert 

Make sure you head down to El Norte, the high-end Spanish restaurant in Mayfair, to try their truly spooky yet sophisticated dessert. The restaurant will be serving up a traditional Spanish dessert, a Crema Catalana, but with the addition of pumpkin and cinnamon to fit the scary season. The combination of the classic custard base with the pumpkin and cinnamon flavours and crispy caramel crust is undoubtedly a sweet treat you won’t want to miss this holiday.

Pumpkin Pisco Sour at Zuaya

To celebrate Halloween, guests will be able to order a Pumpkin Pisco Sour at Zuaya, the Latin-American inspired restaurant in Kensington. Offering an intriguing twist on the restaurant’s signature cocktail, this pisco sour is sure to tantalise your tastebuds.

 Sip from your miniature pumpkin containing the cocktail as you tuck into a selection of dishes that draw influence from Brazil, Peru and Mexico. Stand out dishes include the Argentinian Sirloin with Chimichurri, and the Pork Belly Patacones with Coriander Aioli.

Como Garden Haunted House

This gorgeous, romantic Italian inspired restaurant will be transforming into a haunted house for Halloween. You will have ghouls and ghosts serving you some of London’s most delicious pasta, pizza, and antipasti.. 

There will also be a surprise on the menu with their usual cheesecake being transformed into a pumpkin flavoured cheesecake for dessert.

Riviera’s Frightful Fun

Mayfair’s French inspired restaurant will be hosting a complimentary show for all their guests on Halloween. The sexy Halloween themed show will take place on Saturday 28th October. Guests will be treated to performances from dancers, incredible singers, and extraordinary acrobats, and a Master of Ceremonies, all dressed in creepy costumes. Indulge in the very best food from the French Riviera as you take in the show, and tuck into their Halloween special Pumpkin Crème Brulee.

Spooktacular Halloween dinner at Bamboo Mat

To celebrate spooky season this October, Japanese X Peruvian restaurants Bamboo Mat in Stratford and Leyton have launched a special Halloween menu, available for one week only from 24th – 31st  October.

For just £40 a head, diners can enjoy a delicious array of devilish dishes PLUS an exclusive cocktail – ‘Bloody Night’ – but don’t worry, it’s more sweet than scary, made up of vodka, lime, cherry, strawberry and grenadine. This menu comes with four creepy courses to feast on! Any guest dressed in Halloween costume will receive a complimentary Bloody Night* with their meal so make sure you put on your creepy best.

Fat Hippo

Get ready for an enchanting Halloween experience with Fat Hippo’s annual Hippoween specials! They’ve got some spooky treats lined up, like their famous black charcoal burger bun and new limited edition Black Cheese Balls. From the 4th to 31st October you can enjoy their Hocus Porkus burgerHippoween Hand Cut Chips, and Black Cheese Balls at all 18 locations across the UK. Or order through Just Eat, UberEats, Deliveroo, or their Click + Collect service. 

Enchanting Foodie Twists 

Dracula Ramen by Japan Centre

Japan Centre has launched its Dracula Ramen at a  discount of £6.66 from 21st to 31st October. Usually priced at £13.90, the Dracula Ramen is topped with caramelised black garlic to keep the vampires at bay, alongside delicious char siu BBQ pork, kikurage mushrooms, nori seaweed sat in a rich tonkotsu pork broth.

The Dracula Ramen can be found at Ichiba Westfield London, Japan Centre Leicester Square & Japan Centre Westfield Stratford City.

Frankenshake from Floozie Cookies

Floozie Cookies – the plant-based cookie store in the heart of Covent Garden – is launching a limited-edition ‘Frankenshake’ to mesmerise taste buds and evoke the spirit of the spooky season. This eerily delightful treat will be running the entire month of October. 

Comprising a wickedly green pistachio vegan affogato accompanied by a hauntingly vibrant purple whipped ‘cream’ topping, the Frankenshake is styled to resemble the iconic Frankenstein figure. 

As we gear up for a frightful night, the Frankenshake embodies the spirit of Halloween whilst promising the ultimate Instagram-worthy moment for all who dare to indulge. 

Spooky Bakes at Cavan Bakery
