What would you say if you had the chance to send a message into outer space? A bold question? A personal dream? A quirky “hello” from Earth?
To celebrate the upcoming release of Disney and Pixar’s Elio — landing in UK cinemas from Friday 20th June — a one-of-a-kind Intergalactic Message Pod has touched down in London, giving locals and tourists alike the chance to become part of something truly astronomical.

This weekend, gather the kids together and make plans to head to Observation Point on the Southbank and Leicester Square — and trust us, it’s as cosmic as it sounds.
🌌 What Is the Elio Message Pod?
Inspired by the story of Elio — a boy who finds himself accidentally beamed into space and mistaken for Earth’s ambassador — the Message Pod invites you to do the next best thing: record your own personal message to the stars.
Whether you’re reaching out with your deepest thoughts, wildest questions, or just a cheeky “what’s up, aliens?”, your message will be broadcast beyond the Kármán line (62 miles above Earth) using real VHF radio waves (40-50MHz for the tech heads among us). That’s right — your words could travel through space and time. No spaceship required.
🛸 Space Is For Everyone — And So Is This Experience
Entry is completely free (because, as Pixar cheekily reminds us, space has no currency). After recording your message, you’ll get the chance to snap a space-themed photo to remember your visit — perfect for the ‘gram and your own earthly memory bank.

✨ Where & When To Catch It
While the Pod is currently orbiting Observation Point, it’s making a final stop in Leicester Square on Sunday 15th June, open to the public at the following times:
🕚 11am – 12:45pm
🕑 2:15pm – 3pm
Whether you’re a Pixar fan, a curious stargazer, or just looking for a fun and free London activity this weekend, this is one activation that’s totally out of this world.
