With the winter air setting in, Lilly’s Cafe have transformed their terrace into a winter wonderland in the heart of Covent Garden. Beautifully decorated with seasonal props giving it an instant Instagrammable rustic scene, complete with snug blankets to keep you toasty. And is there a better way to make a person happier than also serving a divine combination of mulled wine, cheese and bread on the menu?
Former Claridge’s pastry chef, Kimberley Lin has created an ultimate comfort food menu this season.

Lilly’s Swiss Gruyere Fondue is an indulgent combination of Swiss Gruyere, Swiss Emmental, white wine, and a shot of brandy, served with cubes of bread and new potatoes, at £25 a minimum of two people. It was my first time experiencing cheese fondue, and can only describe it as smooth and silky… it was scrumptious!
After you’ve recovered from your cheese sweats there are also a selection of festive drinks to choose from!
Lilly’s classic mulled wine served hot– large zinfandel, brandy, maple, winter spices, fresh berries and orange, £12
Lilly’s Coffee Amaretto served hot – coffee, coffee liqueur topped with caramel flavour cream, £13
Lilly’s Sleigh Ride served cold – Cognac, Cointreau, Orange, and Cranberry Juice topped with Champagne garnished with rosemary sprig, £14.
So whether you’re in need of a pit stop from shopping or having a get together or just feeling all kinds of hungry, come and find a seat with in the calm amongst the buzz, with a view of the Covent Garden Christmas tree, at Lilly’s Winter Terrace.
