Exclusively available on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12pm to 3pm, guests can indulge in a range of savoury and sweet dishes, while being serenaded by live musical performances. I’ve had Sette in my culinary sights since my first visit earlier this summer for an exclusive Ferrari Trento F1 event. The canapés presented were generous offerings of Italian tasters prepared by the skilled hands of the Sette kitchen. From that moment onward, my interest was captivated. I soon revisited to indulge in their limited edition Ferragosto Menu, which provided yet another exceptional gastronomic experience. So when I heard about the New York brunch menu, it was a no-brainer to try it firsthand and share some of my highlights!
Meaning ‘seven’ in Italian, Sette actually has roots across the pond as the seventh location of New York City’s Scarpetta restaurant family, and its first international opening; bringing authentic Italian food from the heart of Manhattan with its own inimitable flair. The term Scarpetta is derived from the Italian tradition ‘fare la Scarpetta,’ which means to indulge in a meal down to the very last taste. So it’s with an exciting twist that this new brunch menu pays homage to New York.
Sette New York Brunch Highlights
The brunch menu boasts an array of iconic dishes reminiscent of the culinary delights found in the bustling streets of New York City. I had the pleasure of indulging in a few dishes from the menu, including the make-your-own-style BAGEL TOWER featuring smoked salmon, crab salad, avocado, tomato, mozzarella, red onion, capers, and cucumber, designed to be shared and priced at £85. For those seeking a blend of sweet and savoury, the CRISPY CHICKEN & WAFFLE, served with a maple vinaigrette and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up fried egg, is a taste sensation, priced at £19. And for devotees of classic American comfort food, the AMERICAN PANCAKES, adorned with a medley of mixed berries, chantilly cream, and drizzled with maple syrup, are sure to satisfy cravings at £18.
