Belgravia in Bloom: ‘Beautifully British’ Maypole displays at the Judith Blacklock Flower School

Spring has sprung, and Belgravia is in full bloom! With the Platinum Jubilee weekend just around the corner The Judith Blacklock Flower School has partnered up with Corte Molino to get you in the Spring and Jubilee spirit. Judith has designed a maypole to celebrate this year’s theme Beautifully British for Belgravia in Bloom. Stop by throughout the duration of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to see the beautiful maypole, and pop into the school for a glass of Corte Molino!

I got to visit earlier this week for a special event to kick off the celebrations. We were able to make our own specially curated cocktail, Bloom of Belgravia, by the Corte Molino team. Made up off plum liqueur, hibiscus syrup and topped off with Corte Molino rose, it was a lovely combination of fruity, flowery and refreshing. The rose was a perfect compliment with its fruity undertones and floral notes! We were even given some edible flowers for the extra bloomful touch. It was an elegant touch, and I am definitely inspired to keep some edible flowers for my next party!

We also had the opportunity to make our own flower hair pins and crowns – while being inspired by Judith’s work. I chose a combination of roses in pink and white to get into the spring vibe. It is an amazing space, and we were lucky to meet Judith herself to show off our handiwork. She is definitely the floral expert, having written 18 books and running this renowned school in Belgravia. It was great to get to meet other Londoners and enjoy a nice evening of flowers and cocktails – what a winning combo!

If you find yourself in the Belgravia area, do make it a point to check out the maypole and grab yourself a refreshing Corte Molino drink during the school’s opening hours.

The magnificent maypole is available to view outside the school for the duration of RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 24 – 28 May.
