What’s On: The Classic Car Boot Sale Returns to King’s Cross This Weekend| My London Times

Chrome, culture & pre-loved style take over the capital this weekend

If you’re looking for a last-minute plan that actually feels like a day out in London, King’s Cross is where you’ll want to be this weekend.

On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2026, The Classic Car Boot Sale returns, transforming Granary Square, Lewis Cubitt Square and Coal Drops Yard into a city-wide celebration of vintage fashion, iconic cars, street food and vinyl-led soundtracks.

Soho George at the The Classic Car Boot Sale

It’s also about the people. Expect a strong showing from London’s most interesting characters — from sharply dressed regulars to familiar Soho faces like George Skeggs aka Soho George and friends — the kind of crowd that turns the entire weekend into something closer to a moving street-style moment than a traditional market.

Running from 10am–6pm, the two-day takeover brings together over 100 curated vintage traders, more than 100 heritage vehicles, live DJs, suitcase-style treasure hunting and a strong focus on sustainable style and reuse culture. Tickets are £7 in advance, £8 on the day, with concessions at £5 and free entry for children under 12. Socialised dogs are welcome.

A full-throttle weekend of cars, culture and community

From rare classics to cult fashion finds, the event is a living archive of design and subculture. This year includes a special showcase of Ford’s “Three Graces” — the Consul, Zephyr and Zodiac, marking 60 years of these iconic 1950s models known for their chrome-heavy design and on-screen legacy.

Also returning is the Viva Drivers Club, celebrating 20 years of characterful cars, costumes and community spirit across the site.

Granary Square: vinyl, DJs and canal-side energy

Granary Square becomes the heartbeat of the weekend, with The Vinyl Pitstop parked beside the Routemaster bus, soundtracking the space with vinyl-only DJ sets and era-spanning selections.

Extended sets return across both days, with a line-up including:

  • Martin Green
  • Noble and Heath
  • Dave Cooper (Six Million Steps / Stomp Radio)
  • Corey & Jack Hemingway

Across the wider site, DJs from Eddie’s Love Bus and The Gaz Man keep the atmosphere moving from square to square.

Markets, Suitcase Sales & sustainable finds

Alongside the cars and music, the event remains one of London’s most creative spaces for pre-loved fashion.

Expect:

  • The cult Suitcase Sale, packed with one-off vintage finds
  • Street food and drinks from the Routemaster Bus Bar
  • Upcycled merch and design-led workshops
  • Classic cars woven through every corner of the square

Lewis Cubitt Square continues the energy with DJs, traders and a rotating backdrop of beautifully restored vehicles, while Coal Drops Yard leans into sustainability and repair culture with Charity Super.Mkt and the Made Better Repair Fair.

Coal Drops Yard: repair, reuse, rethink

Here, fashion gets a second life. Charity Super.Mkt brings together organisations like Shelter and Traid, while hands-on workshops explore visible mending, patchwork and upcycling — proof that style doesn’t need to be new to feel current.

The weekend in motion

The Classic Car Boot Sale is less an event and more a collision of worlds — where vintage fashion, automotive history and music culture share the same streets.

Step into it, get lost in it, and leave with something you didn’t plan to find.
